For those who are worried about $250 range of expenses for a new pair of eye glasses, there is a decent alternative at Zenni Optical which provides complete single vision eyeglasses starting from as low as $8.  I have heard good reviews of them and will try them in the near future.

I find the following HoMedics percussion massager a useful one at a decent price compared to professional massage service.  I bought this at Amazon for about $50.  I am happy with the quality of the product and the daily service it provides.  Just that we need some patience to handle and place it on our bodies instead of getting massaged by some one else.

Product Features

  • Say goodbye to knots and is ideal for pre and post work outs or after long days at the office
  • Like the steady beat of a drum, percussion action massage chips away at pent up muscle tension
  • The double dual-cam action for smooth yet powerful performance begins with a percussion first, 4 massage heads
  • At up to 6,200 pulses per minute, the quad heads really relieve tension and the soothing infrared heat helps create a deep tissue massage for penetrating relief
  • The comfort gel grip hand held design allows for targeted relief to most muscle groups- back, shoulders, quads, hamstrings, calves and more.

Pur water filter is one of the best in the general water filter segment. It filters lot more contaminants than it’s competitors. However it does not filter Fluoride and for those who are concerned about Fluoride filtration, I will cover that filter and reverse osmosis filters in a subsequent post. I use both Pur filter and also a Fluoride filter.

Pur water filter filters the following, which is quite a comprehensive list

  • Chlorine
  • Total Trihalomethanes (TTHMs)
  • Agriculture pollutants as a result of herbicide and insecticide usage
  • Heavy metals such as Lead
  • Sediment and rust
  • Microbial cysts
  • Industrial pollutants

I bought the Pur water filter at Amazon for about $25.

I am assuming that no one needs an introduction to the benefits of fish oil. In case if you are new to the area, you may explore sites such as RationalMD.com, HeartDiseaseReversal.com, ExpertLifeSkills.com that you can find in the Interesting Links section on this site.

Now, the point of this post is…

My choice for the best quality Omega 3 Fish Oil is Carlson Labs Norwegian Salmon Oil.

My research indicates that this product has an excellent track record of quality and purity and is routinely tested by third party independent agencies. The quality control establishes almost undetectable levels of PCBs, Mercury and other contaminants that are usually present in fish oils.

Supposedly, Norwegian ocean waters are less polluted, which can no longer be said with extensive global damage to the environment, but at least they may be comparatively less polluted. But, on top of that Salmon is one of those category of fishes which takes less mercury because of it’s eating habits.

I found Eden Organic Apple Cider Vinegar at Wholefoods market to be the best in it’s category. They age organic apple juice in wooden casks to produce a superb vinegar that is slowly made to provide good health.
